CoreGiving, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is dedicated to combating child hunger and approaches its mission with the understanding that children can only be shielded from the anxiety and negative impacts of hunger when their whole families have enough food to lead active, healthy lives. Since 2020, CoreGiving has raised over $10 million and funded nearly 50 million meals for children and families in need. Along with our ten corporate partners, ShopCore Properties is a champion for CoreGiving and committed to fostering healthy and resilient communities in which we operate where every family has access to nutritious food and the opportunity to thrive.
Each year during March Madness, we actively raise money for CoreGiving’s “Bracket Battle” fundraiser. Employees from ShopCore and our corporate partners also participate in a friendly bracket competition for the men’s and women’s college teams. For the seventh annual Bracket Battle this year, CoreGiving surpassed its original goal of $250,000 and raised nearly $260,000. These funds will provide 1.3 million meals for children and families in our shared communities across the country. Let that sink in – 1.3 MILLION MEALS FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES in the communities that we and our fellow corporate partners serve. This is an incredible impact to be proud of, and kudos to our top ShopCore bracket performer, Juan Villareal, who finished in the top five of all participants!
